TSHolden.com - History Choose which set of newsposts you want: the first 50, the second 50, the third 50, the fourth 50, the fifth 50, or the sixth 50. Ugh, overslept hardcore. Anyhow, due to my recent Final Fantasy intake, here's another chapter of Kerberos. Also, I should be making a silent update of Avacado on Wednesday. See you guys Friday afternoon. Well, I've made a map using the an extended version of the palette from Wednesday, you can fin the map's page here. Hope people like it. :) Once I get some more touching-up done on the map I'll upload it to Quadropolis too, but for now it's exclusive to this site. About time I did another edit (hopefully the next update will be a normal digital). You can check out the screenshots here, while the thing that has actually been edited can be found here. Nothing else to report, other than finals kicking my butt and a consequential hankering for Final Fantasy grinding. So I woke up and forgot that it was monday... and then on top of that, what I made turned out utter crap. So the update is being delayed to Wednesday, so I can make something cool. ;_; Sorry! Another colored setch today... I'm really trying to work on my painting skills, as well as my ability to sketch. Also, people have made repeated requests that I put up a higher percentage of sketches. So today's sketch can be found on this page, hope you all like it. That's about it, I'm gonna head to work and then watch Mongol with the fellows tonight! See you all on Monday. It wouldn't be fair just to put up a concept of the Invasoren helmet, so here's a concept of the Yarboa tuque. Hope it helps anyone struggling to picture all my little nutjobs. :) In other news, class sucks. Some people have mentioned that they have no idea what they're supposed to be visualizing for Sandstorm Conscience. Well, there's a bit of reason for that: I'm not going to do the linework, so it's quite impossible for you guys to see anything finished ATM. However, I can show you a concept sketch to help give you a rough idea. In other news, I am busting it out at work, trying to make ends meet. Geed times, but add school and frisbee into that equation and I'm not getting much sleep. =P Alright, alright, last Red Book update for a while. Some of you have been getting bored, and I don't want that, this will probably be the last one for the next month or so. No promises though. Comparatively speaking, this is probably one of the most insignificant-looking updates I've ever done, though in point of fact it contains a great deal of contemplation. Today's update contains a bare four pages of text added to the end of the pdf, but they're meaty pages. I've practically rewritten my design document for the Invasoren language, adjusting a large number of details to fit the more fleshed-out personality of the Invasoren, and I've also begun ironing out the more obscure details concerning the Yarboan way of life. Now, go buy Dr Horrible on iTunes. And the actual story is all drafted into the Red Book! I still have some bonus page stuff to work on, and obviously I need to get some folks to help me start editing, but all in all what you see is the whole story. Things to think about: what emotions seem to recur in which characters? If you were in their place, do you think you would react the same? What do you think the crows symbolize? What can you infer about each people from the way they dress? What is the full significance of the masks? See you guys next Monday! (also, go watch Dr Horrible). Well, dammit. I switched to the afternoon schedule to avoid delays, but of course I have to mess it up immediately. Today's update will be happening this evening, because jury duty + Highland Games has messed up my schedule pretty badly. Edit (midnight): And just barely squeaking in with this one, but we'll just have to overlook it. This is a project for my class tomorrow morning. Another eleven pages added to the Red Book. I got a couple of questions concerning the Red Book, so here are some simple answers:
So, you guys tired of Red Book updates yet? I'm not! There'll be at least one or two more before we move on to new, different content. In other news, this is the last evening/midnight post I'm going to do for a while. Due to school scheduling, I can't stay up to midnight working on updates and putting them into effect as soon as they're ready, so future updates (including this Friday) will be happening at about noon. Early update today because: A) it's an update to pre-existing content B) I be tired and I have lots to do tomorrow in the am, and C) I'd rather put it up early than late. I hate it when my favorite sites update late, and I'd rather not do that to you guys. So, enjoy! Comic time today. This particular comic has been brewing for quite a while now, and is still brewing in fact: that link will take you to a PDF containing the first 11 or so pages of the second Red Book. What is this Red Book?, you might ask. In a nutshell, it's my term for a rough draft of sorts. A Red Book is written, quite literally, in red ink, which is a Tentus-ism for "up for revision". I use red ink whenever I sketch something I'm about to change, or when I write something I'm planning on editing heavily later. This begs the question, why bother when making a digital version? Uhm... actually, I don't know. Because I'm weird like that? Happy sketch time! Actually, wait, it may not be percieved as happy... well, it makes me happy, you guys are on your own. Not much else to report on the Tentus side of things. I might be making some php headway, though classes start soon, so I guess that'll be hitting a brick wall before long. See you guys on Monday! Not gonna lie, I got distracted playing Rock Band for the Wii with some friends, so today's update is kinda... filler. But in case you've ever wondered what a lot of my looks like, here are some website concepts I made for a client. Naturally, the one we ended up using was almost a polar opposite of all of these, in terms of color. =D It's been most of a month since I put up a digital work. Weird, it seems like yesterday. Anyhow, you can view today's update here. Productions like this continue to convince me that I could be a writer-colorist for a comic, but never the artist. Oh well. Well, I've managed to get another page of pictures from Oregon prepped and online. Normal updates resume this Friday! In other news, Notepad+ is still broken. ¬_¬ W.T.F. I think the windows update for tuesday broke my favorite text editor. I am very pissed. I've tried reinstalling, but no juice. So, update is gonna be a bit less comprehensive than I had hoped. Oh well, I'll get my pictures from Oregon up sooner or later. Wow, another month gone already! 'the heck do they keep going? Well, anyhow, here's the update. I ran into technical troubles with the update I was gonna do, so i guess it's on hold for a while. A long while, actually, because I'm going to be on vacation from Tuesday to the following Tuesday. Nashaii is coming with me, so I'm kinda short on people to update the site while I'm out... any volunteers? Let's just assume that I won't be able to get anyone to cover me while I'm on the other side of the continent, and just not expect a Friday or Monday update, 'kay? I'll see everyone in about two weeks! Logo time! I quite like it, and so should you (or else someone is getting hurt, and that someone won't be me for once). That's about all I've got to say, other than busy busy busy. And that Sina, you're a bum. Hah HAH! Last time was lame and I just had a few photos, but now I have many: bask in their glory. Well, ok, they're not that glorious, but I like them. Hopefully it won't take me a solid week to get them commented this time. ¬_¬ I haven't tried uploading any of my writings to this site, other than rants and technical stuff, since pretty much it's inception. Which is funny, 'cause I really enjoy writing, and tend to get better response from it. What I've cooked up recently (read: last night) is a short, single chapter that gives the vaguest possible introduction to a project I've been mulling over since I first played Final Fantasy (I'm not gonna tell you which one, 'cause that'll make me feel old). It's nothing more than an intro, but I hope it will become a fun project in the next decade. So, how 'bout those photos? Uhm, funny story about that... Maybe it's best if you just see for yourself. I'd say it's about time for a doodle, wouldn't you? It's hard to keep all the sections up to date, there's really too many of them for a biweekly schedule. But hey, I get something uploaded almost 100 percent of the time, so that's gotta be good, right? By the way, it's WT weekend, so I will be out of touch for the next two days. Hopefully I'll have pictures for Monday when we get back! Summer vacation is a time of... You know, it's probably better if I don't complete that sentence. My opinions are built around the pain and suffering that defines so much of my past. Eh. Hope some of you enjoy the update, it's highly wallpaper-able. Finals are over! I have almost two months before I have classes again, whoo! To celebrate, I have been drinking coke like it going out of style (which it may be, who can say). That kind of inspired the sketch I've posted for today. Other sources of inspiration are mentioned in the sketch page. By the way, attentive readers will notice that Okami has been my current media for the past several days. That's because it's a lot like the best of Zelda on drugs. Really high-quality, not at all sketchy drugs. Except when Issun is saying something creepy. Then it's kinda sketchy. But! As a whole, it's a dang fine game, I pray fervently for a sequel. Oh, uh, hey all. *wweats* I'll be straight with you. I am too busy with finals to make a proper update today. All I can give you is a small update to the voiceovers page. Hey guys, sorry this is going up so late. Wireless went down last night and I still haven't been able to figure out how to get it going again. Heck, I'm not even sure how I got it going in the firs place. (Magic?) Also, I apologize for this, but I do not have a finished flash game for you guys. I'm recoding some of the gameplay basics, and run into some music glitches, so that'll have to wait for a while. In it's place, have a fresh new Bell Curve comic. So apparently I am Full Of Lies, because I managed to get the aforementioned flash game working properly. Please give it a try! It's nothing fancy for now, I will probably make a shinier version of it for this friday. Today's update has been in the works for a while, but it's almost done. Very exciting times, so go check it out. In other news, Wtrail's site is down, but I'm still trying to get a group up and going. We'll be going on the weekend of the 16th, given that we can get registered and all. Bwaha! Another on-time update! I continue my epic battle against procrastination for yet another week! Today's update is entitled Mmph, and falls into the diminished sketches section. A few readers have asked that I put up more sketches in regards to other content, so I'll try, but like Friday's update, no promises. Bit of a weird update today. I decided to do something unnatural (for me) and do some voiceovers for Sauerbraten, something I feel that we need to address in the game. In other news, finals are closing in fast, so be pre-warned that some of the updates in the net month might be delayed a fair bit. That is all. Important: Please contact me about WTrail if you're planning to come in our group ASAP! We need to get our paperwork in soon! With that said, please take a gander at today's update. This one's a bit of a homage to death note, but it also outlines some basic ideas and concepts for Ide, if I ever get around to making that project real. Urgh, so tired. Not real sure why, but I've been dying this week. So today's update is right here, and I have nothing more to say. Except that the blog about the new laptop will come later. Ok, so I kinda screwed up for a bit last weekend when I moved some of the stuff over into the doodles section... sorry about that, it should be all fixed now. Today's update is a simple little set of pictures I took at a soccer tournament on Sunday. I apologize for its small size, and hope that it'll grow soon! That's about it. I should get my new laptop tomorrow, which I am very excited about. Expect to hear me ramble about it on friday! Doo doo doodles, still fleshing that section out. It's a bit NSFW, but not really. If people want me to I'll flag it as such. In other news, if you checked the site on monday, I suggest you take a second look at the last update, I've made some significant content updates to it, and plan to do some more soon. Whoo! Also, hoping to get in a nice long blog entry about my recent laptop buying experiences soon. Should be a fun read (I'll wait for the laptop to actually arrive before posting anything.) Besides, I'd hate to soil a date with a cool date like 4 plus four is eight with my whining. Cheerio, have a good weekend! Happy birthday Meg! Today's update is a flash that I made this weekend, which generates written characters for a language I'm working on, as well as spitting out the numerical values of that character and how to pronounce it, more or less. Fun stuff. Had to give it a lame name though, I couldn't figure out a good one. Just a reminder, I'm going to rearrange some pages into the doodles section soon, over from the sketches, so don't bookmark anything but the first and second level pages. Today's update is a doodle entitled 'Jayne', put up to try and bulk up that section of the site. I'm probably going to rearrange some pages into that section soon, over from the sketches, so don't bookmark anything but the first and second level pages. See you guys at the end of the month! Wow, another rant already? I must be nuts! Today's update is actually a lengthy little essay I wrote for class about fairy tales and video games, I hope everyone likes it. In other news, there are has been a fair bit of tidying up going on in a few of the pages: once again the stylesheet has grown to smooth out an obscure part of the site. Yarr, nerdiness. There was a little bit of interest for a doodles section, so here it is. There's only one image in it now, but more will come. Have a good weekend! In a way, I'm sad that spring break is over, because I don't get to hang with my buddy Sina, but on the other hand, spring break was such a constant onslaught of work, I'm kinda relieved it's gone. Only thing keeping me sane was smash bros. Things are looking up for this week though. I just bought a used PS2 so I can play my copies of ICO and SotC. Yays! In that vein, here's today's update. The next game in the ICO/SotC series should totally be about vikings and massive sea monsters. We can even name our ship Agro (thought the SS Yorda has a nice ring to it...) So tired. Too much work for spring break. New Rant for today's update. Goes over a bit of what I do for a living, which some people may find informative. I haven't had time to proof or polish it, so my apologise for all the rough edges. See you guys on Monday. Woo for spring break! I get to go do jury duty today! :D :D :D Eh, it's not so bad. Hopefully I can get in and out and dive into some homework I've been meaning to do. But enough about me, here's the update for today. BTW, Brawl rocks. Just in case there was any doubt. Almost done with this week. :P As predicted, it's been hellish. But there were a few fun bits, so it's not a total loss. Have a good weekend, and to everyone going on spring break vacations, don't do anything too stupid. (We're comin' to get ya', Patrick!) Today's update is brought to you from Macaroni Grill: you know how they have the paper tableclothes and give you the crayons? Yep, that's where today's sketch come from. not much else to day, other than this week is gonna be hell for me. Two midterms and an event-thingy I'd really rather not go to tomorrow. :P See you guys Friday. My Grandfather died yesterday, so no update today, I've got to go down to Alabama for the funeral. Hopefully normality returns in two weeks (I'll make updates before that, but nothing spectacular). Whew, long weekend. Wheel never stops turning, huh? Today's update is a sketch I'm quite proud of, but I'm afraid the length of the weekend is keeping me from cleaning it up properly right now. I promise it will get cleaned up and given proper attention eventually, but right now I need a break. Two things today. First, a new piece of digital art. As some of you may have noticed, I'm trying to keep the digital section and sketches roughly equal to each other nowadays. Second, I've consolidated the archived newsposts into groups of 50, rather than groups of 25 like I had previously. I decided that the 25 system was just too awkward. That's it for tangible updates today. I'm currently in the middle of teaching myself PHP and getting much deeper into how flash works, so hopefully the fruits of that labor will begin to surface in the next few months. Today's update feels like a cop-out to me, but appartently this style of art is one of the most popular I do among those that read my site. We'll see how this one sits. In other news, the blog code got revamped, so don't be surprised if I mess something up on the newspost side of things pretty soon. Converting all that data by hand is gonna kill me. Ah well. Choose which set of newsposts you want: the first 50, the second 50, the third 50, the fourth 50, the fifth 50, or the sixth 50. |
