Fey Winds Today I salute Fey Winds, a fantastic fantasy comic that will hit the 100 comic mark tomorrow, depending on how you count it. I count it as no covers, no bonus pages/ filler, and only the current version. If you include anything outside of that, Nicole has passed the 100 mark long since. Anyhow, this is an unnamed baddie in the comic that I quite like. He's got this distinctive flatness to him, as if her's cast some kind of spell to try and make him less noticeable or something. Anyhow, the Advisor (closest thing he's ever gotten to a name) will hopefully resurface before another hundred content pages have passed, but I wouldn't count on it. Overall I'm not very pleased with how this image came out. The original concept was just a straight digital paint job, but the lack of lines wasn't working for me, so I added in some vector outlines, but they really didn't help that much. A photo bg (a pic I took in Oregon) helped a little, but managed to trash the consistency of the pic. *sigh*. Oh well, can't win em all. Or you know, many of them at all. Made with pen, paper, and Photoshop CS3. And Kodak Z885, I suppose. |
