Summoning
This was made during one of my computer classes in high school, in a matter of minutes. My teacher was entirely unappreciative of it, but it's still one of my favorite digital works to date.
The horns were made by making an ellipse, subtracting an ellipse from that, and then subtracting a feathered rectangle from that. One application of the gradient tool and blam! Hot stuff.
The text at the bottom was made by typing it in Comic Sans with 50% opacity (I think), and then applying the liquify tool to it. The text at the top was duplicated and then I applied wind to each layer, in opposite directions.
The Latin quote was a joke we passed around in my Latin I class my freshman year in high school. We had a ton of similar phrases in the romantic tongue.
It is 1280x1024, so yet another background contestant.
